How it Works
The Scat Mat is a touch sensitive pad. It repels animals that step on it. The electronics (in the snap on black Power Pack) convert 9 volt battery power into a series of high voltage sparks similar to static electricity.

These sparks are sent to the mat for three seconds whenever the onboard circuitry detects that it has been touched. Pet paws effectively complete the circuit and cause the sensation to be felt. The Activation incident counter is incremented and the unit returns to passive sensing mode.

The amount of energy dispensed is adjustable using the OFF, LOW, MED, HIGH switch underneath the Power Pack.

A fresh alkaline battery will last up to 6 month in normal use, or activate the mat 5,000 approximately times.
